Subject: Announcement

Good afternoon,

In order to achieve more work-life balance, Katie Novak has decided to step down from her role as the assistant superintendent as of June 30th, 2020. I would like to thank Katie for the immeasurable contributions she has given to the district. We are sad to see her choose to step out of this role, but are very happy she has agreed to continue to provide us with her expertise in the area of professional learning in a very limited part-time capacity.

Jill Greene, Director of Pupil Services, will be leading the search committee for Katie’s replacement. We will be forming the search committee, which will include 2 parents, over the next couple of weeks. The job opening will be posted tomorrow, January 15th and will close on February 4th. The week of February 10th the search committee will meet to review resumes and confirm the list of first-round questions. First-round interviews will be held the week of February 24th. Finalist interviews and visits will be scheduled during the week of March 2nd. It is our hope that we will be able to have a successful candidate to recommend to the school committee during the week of March 9th.

If you are interested in participating as a member of the search committee please email Jill Greene at jgreeene@gdrsd.org.
